Alberta Innovates has provided SPT funding through the Ecosystem Development Partnerships Program. The funding will be used for the Wearable Health and Wellness Technology Ecosystem Development – Validation, Usability, and Data Analytics project. This collaboration will help build Alberta’s health and wellness technology ecosystem by supporting entrepreneur’s in their product validation testing and fostering connections in the sports, health, and wellness space.

Through the Sport Product Testing – Business Scale-Up and Acceleration project, Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan) supported SPT in expanding its capacity to serve Canada’s growing sport and health innovation ecosystem. Over a three-year period (2021-2024), this funding helped enhance research infrastructure, grow technical expertise, and strengthen connections with industry partners. The initiative also enabled the addition of an environmental chamber, further advancing SPT’s ability to test products in real-world performance conditions.
